śrī-bhagavān (the glorious Lord) uvāca (he spoke):
he arjuna (O Arjuna!),
viṣame (in danger) idaṁ (this) anārya-juṣṭam (not befitting the noble ones) asvargyam (not leading to heaven) akīrti-karam (causing infamy) kaśmalam (impurity) kutaḥ (how?) tvā (to you) samupasthitam (has come).
