mohād ārabhyate karma yat tat tāmasam ucyate

anubandham (bondage) kṣayam (destruction) hiṁsām (violence) pauruṣam ca (and capacity) anapekṣya (after not considering)
mohāt (out of bewilderment) yat karma (which activity) ārabhyate (it is undertaken),
tat (that) tāmasam (tamasic) ucyate (it is called).
